On Duramax Diesel trucks from 2001-2016, the fuel filter head was outfitted with a plastic bleed screw from the factory. While this bleeder screw provides easy servicing for your fuel filter, over time, the plastic can become damaged from repeated use or exposure to harsh conditions. This can lead to cracks in the screw which cause air leaks, leading to stalling, hard start, and other drivability conditions. 

Merchant Automotive has recognized this problem and developed a solution in the form of this Duramax Aluminum fuel filter head bleeder screw. This aluminum fuel filter head bleeder screws for 2001-2016 Duramax diesel engine trucks is made from 6061 aluminum and is machined in house at our USA facility. It is finished off in a black anodized finish with an MA logo for added aesthetic appeal. This aluminum bleeder screw is a direct replacement and is the perfect upgrade for a damaged screw or as preventative maintenance to prevent a cracked or damaged screw in the future.
