ACDelco CP4 Fuel Injection Pump, Duramax - LML | 2011 - 2016

The CP4 pump pressurizes and pushes diesel fuel into your Duramax engines internal combustion chamber via the fuel injectors. 

2001 to 2010 Duramax vehicles relied on the CP3 pump; which was a more stable platform, but less efficient. The CP4 pumps were designed  to create higher pressure with less volume, thereby being more efficient and cost effective. 

Despite being more efficient, the CP4 platform is known to have issues with erosion  that can send metal debris throughout your fuel system.  The accumulation of this metal debris will lead to catastrophic failure and costly repairs.
