Rear Cover Install Kit, Duramax | 2001-2010

The Merchant Automotive Rear Cover Install Kit has everything needed for a rear engine cover job on 2001-2010 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD trucks with the LB7, LLY, LBZ and LMM 6.6L Duramax diesel, and 2006-2010 Chevy Express and GMC Savana vans with the 6.6L Duramax. It includes the rear main seal, rear cover coolant seals, oil cooler gaskets and seals, a flexplate bolt 8 pack and RTV sealant. Before You Order

• Other items to consider: a new Rear Engine Cover and (2) rear cover dowel pins to help guide the rear cover onto the block. These are not included.

Installation Tips

• Clean all sealing surfaces on the block and rear cover before installing the new gaskets and sealant.
• Use the dowel pins to line up the rear cover on the block.
• Replace every seal and gasket that is disturbed during the job.
