Trevor
Diesel Technician
Merchant Automotive: 4+ Years
Trevor specializes in electrical and drivability diagnostics along with engine and transmission repair. He holds multiple certifications, including ASE A1, A5, A6, and A9, as well as Michigan state certifications in steering and suspension. He focuses on performing a level of service where the issue is solved correctly the first time.
Outside the Shop: Trevor enjoys hunting and fishing when he is not working on equipment.
The Bench: His most essential tool in the shop is his scan tool.
Connor
Diesel Technician
Merchant Automotive: 6 Months
Connor brings 6 years of experience to the team and is Master state certified in both Heavy Duty and Automotive. He specializes in electrical and aftertreatment diagnostics. Connor takes pride in taking a table full of parts and hardware and creating something reliable and road-worthy.
History: Connor met his wife in the 6th grade back in 2011.
Weekend Hobbies: Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their pets.
Joe
Transmission Builder and Tech Support
Merchant Automotive: 6 Years
Joe is our lead transmission builder with 20 years of experience working on diesel trucks. He is ASE certified in Automatic Transmissions and Light Duty Diesel engines. Joe builds all of our Allison 5 and 6 speed transmissions, ensuring every job is done right without taking shortcuts.
Fun Fact: Joe claims to have the best hair in the shop and says it is not close.
Favorite Memory: Pulling the shop truck "Ol Blue" at a National Tractor Pullers Association (NTPA) event.
