Reseal the rear adapter on the water housing cover in a 2001 to 2021 GM Duramax 6.6L V8 vehicle with this replacement gasket.
The gasket is located on the passenger side of the rear engine adapter on the coolant passage block off plate.
Whenever the engine is disassembled or out of the truck, we recommend you replace this gasket. Not replacing this gasket can cause leaks and is difficult to get to with the stock downpipe in place.
