Replacement water pump bypass upper pipe O-ring seal for 2001-2016 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD trucks with the 6.6L Duramax diesel (LB7, LLY, LBZ, LMM and LML) and 2006-2016 Chevy Express and GMC Savana Duramax vans. This O-ring sits just below the thermostat housing on the coolant bypass pipe that connects to the water pump.

Before You Order

• This is the upper seal. The lower bypass pipe seal at the water pump end is sold separately.

Installation Tips

• Drain the coolant before removing the bypass pipe.
• Consider replacing the lower bypass pipe seal at the same time. Our customers often order the two seals together.
• Clean the pipe and the housing bore before installing the new O-ring.
• Refill and bleed the cooling system, then check for leaks.

No. The lower seal (GM 94011603) is a separate part at the water pump end of the pipe.
