Have a truck engine that doesn’t seem to heat up? A lot of times this problem is caused by worn out thermostats. Replace those failing thermostats and seals with this kit designed to fit 2011 to 2016 Duramax 6.6L V8 vehicles.
The front thermostat is mounted in the forward position of the thermostat housing and is identified by its symmetrical shape. It opens at 185 degrees, allowing coolant to flow to the radiator.
The rear position thermostat is located toward the fire wall. It's identified by its offset design and has has bleeder valves built in. It opens at 180 degrees, allowing coolant to flow to the radiator.
