The Merchant Automotive LB7 Injector Gasket Kit includes every seal and gasket needed to reinstall 4 injectors and reseal the lower valve cover on one bank of a 2001–2004 LB7 6.6L Duramax Silverado or Sierra 2500HD/3500HD. On the LB7, the injectors sit under the lower valve cover, so every injector job means removing it. This kit combines our LB7 Injector Seal Kit (copper washers, injector O-rings and body seals), our LB7 Injector Return Line Seal Kit (return line seals and banjo seal) and a new lower valve cover gasket. Reused seals can let fuel leak under the valve cover and into the engine oil, and a reused valve cover gasket can leak oil.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many kits do I need?
Two. Each kit covers one bank (4 injectors and one lower valve cover), so replacing all 8 injectors takes 2 kits.

What's the difference between this kit and the 10409 kit?
This kit adds the lower valve cover gasket. If you only need the injector and return line seals, see our LB7 Injector and Return Line Seal Kit.

Can I reuse my old injector seals or valve cover gasket?
No. The copper washers crush when the injector is torqued, and the O-rings, return line seals and valve cover gasket harden with heat. Reused seals are a common cause of fuel leaks, fuel in the oil and oil leaks on the LB7.

Does this kit include the valve cover grommets or bolts?
No. See our Lower Valve Cover Grommet 24 Pack and Upper and Lower Valve Cover Bolt Kit.
