GM Front Engine Timing Cover, Duramax LML LGH | 2010-2016

The front engine cover, GM part number 12624280, is the cast aluminum timing cover for the 6.6L LML and LGH Duramax. It fits 2011-2016 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD trucks and 2010-2016 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana vans. It bolts to the front of the block over the gear-driven timing set, houses the front crankshaft seal, and provides the mounting surface for the water pump. Replace it when the original is cracked, has a damaged sealing surface or crank seal bore, or has stripped bolt holes. A damaged cover can cause oil or coolant leaks that a new seal alone will not fix.
