Allison 1000 Pass Through Connector Seal and Body, Duramax | 2001-2019

Transmission fluid leaking at the wire harness? The pass-through connector seal on the Allison 1000 can degrade with age and let transmission fluid get into the electrical connection. This can cause erratic transmission operation, trouble codes, and can even put the transmission into limp mode. This kit includes a new pass-through connector seal and connector body for 2001-2019 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD trucks with the 6.6L Duramax diesel (LB7, LLY, LBZ, LMM, LML and L5P), 2006-2016 Chevy Express and GMC Savana vans with the 6.6L Duramax (LLY, LMM and LGH), and 2001-2007 Silverado and Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD trucks with the 8.1L gas engine, all with the Allison 1000 transmission.

When to Replace

Replace the seal and body if you find transmission fluid in the harness connector at the transmission, or fluid leaking around the connector on the outside of the case.

Before You Order

• Allison 1000 only: this kit fits the 2001-2019 Allison 1000. It does not fit the 2020 and newer 10L1000.

Installation Tips

• Clean any fluid out of both halves of the connector before reconnecting the harness.
• Owners on the DuramaxDiesels forum report that if fluid has already wicked into the wiring, a new seal may not cure the symptoms, and the internal wire harness may also need to be replaced.
