Injector Copper Washers, 8 Pack, Duramax | 2004.5-2016

This set of 8 injector copper washers replaces GM 97327722 on 2004.5–2016 6.6L Duramax Silverado and Sierra 2500HD/3500HD trucks, 2006–2010 Express and Savana vans, and 2004–2006 Kodiak and TopKick trucks. The copper washer sits at the tip of each injector and seals it against the cylinder head. Once an injector has been torqued down, the copper is crushed into shape and won't seal properly a second time. A reused copper can let combustion gases leak past the injector, causing a ticking noise, gases in the fuel return, and carbon buildup in the injector bore. This 8-pack gives you a fresh copper for every cylinder whenever the injectors come out.

Installation Note

Always install a new copper washer when an injector is removed, and never reuse the old one. Make sure the old copper came out with the injector and isn't still stuck in the bore, because stacking two coppers will keep the injector from seating.
