The Intake Y-Bridge Gasket seals the intake manifold tube, commonly called the Y-bridge, where it bolts to each cylinder head on 2001-2005 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD trucks with the LB7 and LLY 6.6L Duramax diesel. GM catalogs it as the intake manifold tube gasket. It replaces GM 97251963 and 97192616.
Features
- Seals the intake Y-bridge to the cylinder head
- Replaces GM 97251963 and 97192616
- Fits LB7 and LLY Duramax engines
- Sold individually, two required per vehicle
- Included in our 2001-2004 Head Gasket Kit and 2004.5-2010 Head Gasket Kit
Quantity Needed
This gasket is sold individually. Two gaskets are needed per vehicle, one for each side of the Y-bridge.
Why Replace It
A leaking Y-bridge gasket lets boost escape before it reaches the engine. That can show up as a whistle or hiss under load, lower boost, more smoke and less power. Replace both gaskets any time the Y-bridge is removed, such as for injector, head gasket or valve cover work.
Installation Tips
- Clean both sealing surfaces and remove all traces of the old gasket.
- Make sure nothing falls into the intake while the Y-bridge is off. Cover the openings.
- Seat the gasket evenly and tighten the Y-bridge bolts to factory torque specs.
- Check for boost leaks after installation.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many do I need?
Two per vehicle. This listing is for one gasket.
Does this fit the 2006 and newer LBZ, LMM or LML?
No. 2006-2016 engines use a different gasket. See our Intake Y-Bridge Gasket for 2006-2016.
Can I reuse the old gasket?
We do not recommend it. A new gasket is the best way to prevent boost leaks after the Y-bridge has been removed.
