The engine fuel vacuum switch, GM part number 12641590 (ACDelco 213-4763), monitors vacuum in the low-pressure fuel supply between the fuel filter and the CP4 injection pump on the 6.6L LML and LGH Duramax. If vacuum gets too high, for example from a plugged fuel filter or a restricted line, the switch reports it to the engine computer. On the LML it sits on the passenger side of the engine, just below the throttle valve. A cracked or leaking switch lets air into the fuel system, which causes extended cranking, hard starts or a no-start. It comes with new seals and mounting hardware.
Key Features
- GM part number 12641590, ACDelco 213-4763
- Replaces GM 12636310 and 12640983
- Includes seals and mounting hardware
- 2-pin oval connector with male blade terminals
- Approximate size 3.12 in L x 1.5 in W x 1.6 in H
- Monitors fuel supply vacuum between the filter and the CP4
Benefits
Replacing a leaking or failed switch seals the fuel supply against air and restores normal starting. It also keeps the engine computer's filter-restriction warning working, so you know when the fuel filter really needs service. While you are working on the low-pressure side, see our Fuel Injection Fuel Feed Manifold and the Filter Outlet Hose Fuel Feed Pipe. To protect the pump, check out the CP4 Fuel Injection Pump.
Fitment
Fits 2011-2016 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD with the 6.6L LML Duramax diesel, and late 2010-2016 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana 2500, 3500 and 4500 vans with the 6.6L LGH Duramax.
