EGR Up-Pipe / Turbo Outlet Gasket, Duramax | 2002-2005
This is the gasket GM lists as the turbocharger exhaust outlet elbow gasket, part number 97328807, for 2002-2005 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500 with the 6.6L Duramax LB7 or LLY. On the 2004.5-2005 LLY it seals the joint between the EGR cooler and the exhaust up-pipe. Ours is made by Elring and replaces GM 97328807 (formerly 97288579). A leak at this joint is an exhaust leak, which can show up as an exhaust smell under the hood and soot around the connection.
Key Features
- Replaces GM 97328807 and 97288579

Benefits
Exhaust gaskets are crushed when they're torqued and don't reseal once they come apart. Install a new one any time the EGR cooler, up-pipe or turbo is removed, so you don't have to tear back into it for a leak. Replace if worn or damaged. On the LLY, it's also included in our Turbo Install Gasket Kit, LLY Duramax | 2004.5-2005.
