This direct-replacement bearing supports the rear output end of the mainshaft in the transfer case on 2001–2018 Duramax Silverado and Sierra 2500HD/3500HD trucks. It fits the NP261XHD and NP263XHD cases used through 2007 and the MP1226 and MP1626 cases used from 2007.5 on, all with a 31-spline output shaft. A worn rear output bearing can cause whining or growling that changes with vehicle speed, play in the rear output shaft, and damage to the rear output seal. The bearing is listed as B25 on the transfer case exploded-view diagram.

Will this fit an HD (non-XHD) case?
No. This bearing is for the 31-spline XHD and MP cases listed above only.

What should I replace at the same time?
Always install a new rear output seal when replacing this bearing: the XHD Rear Output Seal for 2001–2007 or the MP1226/MP1626 Rear Output Seal for 2007.5 and newer. If the case is apart for a full rebuild, our bearing and seal kits include this bearing.
