REV-X ZINC Oil Additive provides essential anti-wear protection for engines equipped with flat tappet camshafts and lifters. Formulated with zinc (ZDDP), it creates a protective film on high-friction engine components, reducing metal-to-metal contact and premature wear.

Ideal for new engine break-in and older engines requiring higher ZDDP levels, this additive helps protect camshafts, lifters, and other critical components under demanding operating conditions. Compatible with synthetic and conventional oils, REV-X ZINC supports engine durability and long-term reliability.

Benefits

As engine temperatures rise, ZDDP forms a sacrificial protective layer on metal surfaces, reducing friction and wear. This protection is especially important during engine break-in and in flat tappet engines, where camshaft lobes and lifters operate under high contact pressure.

Recommended Treatment

  • New Engine Break-In: Add 2 fl. oz. to 6 quarts of oil for a manufacturer-stated target of approximately 3,000-3,200 ppm ZDDP.
  • Previously Broken-In Engines: Add 1 fl. oz. for a manufacturer-stated target of approximately 1,500-1,800 ppm ZDDP.
  • Routine Maintenance: Use at oil changes in engines requiring supplemental ZDDP protection.

  • New or rebuilt flat tappet engines

Note: Do NOT use on 2007 and newer engines equipped with Diesel Particulat Filter (DPF) or sensitive emmisions equipment.
