This is the Mainshaft Sleeve Hub for a GM NP261HD, NP263HD, NP261XHD or NP263XHD transfer case found in 2001 to 2007 GM Duramax vehicles as well as some 1998-2007 GM half ton trucks and SUVs. It is used to hold the chain drive sprocket in place on the mainshaft inside the transfer case.This updated version of the Mainshaft Sleeve Hub includes an integrated synchro gear and replaces both individual parts with one.NOTE: Whenever replacing the Sleeve Hub it is very important to closely inspect the Mainshaft and the fit between the two parts. The fitment between the Mainshaft and the Sleeve Hub has a very tight tolerance, if there is any lateral play between them damage to the Mode Fork can occur. If there is play it is best to replace both the Mainshaft and the Sleeve Hub together.
