This is a brand-new replacement front output shaft needle bearing assembly for GM transfer case models: NP246, NP261HD, NP263HD, NP261XHD and NP263XHD.
The bearing is located in the rear half of the transfer case and can be damaged if there is an internal hard part failure with metal debris that can get stuck in the bearing causing it to fail. It can also fail due to lack of lubrication from a “pump rub” failure.
