The Allison 1000 Torque Converter Housing is a replacement transmission bell housing for 2003-early 2007 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra HD trucks equipped with the 6.6L Duramax diesel engine and Allison 1000 automatic transmission. This early-style housing features the speed sensor boss required for transmissions with a bell housing-mounted speed sensor. It includes two 7/8" transmission cooler line fittings and is designed to replace original housings with cracks, stripped mounting holes, or damage caused by torque converter or flexplate failure.

Important Fitment Information: This housing is designed for Allison 1000 transmissions with a bell housing speed sensor and 7/8" transmission cooler lines. For 2001-2002 trucks equipped with 3/4" cooler lines, use Merchant Automotive SKU 10620, which includes the appropriate adapter fittings. Late 2007-2019 trucks equipped with the later-style transmission housing without a speed sensor boss require Merchant Automotive SKU 10622.

Early 2007 Classic body-style trucks use the housing with a speed sensor boss, while late 2007 new-body-style trucks use the housing without the boss. Verify the existing transmission housing and cooler line configuration before ordering.
