This is the genuine GM transmission fluid level indicator (dipstick), GM 15794381, for the Allison 1000 transmission behind the 2001-2007 LB7, LLY and LBZ 6.6L Duramax. It's the factory dipstick for checking the Allison's fluid level and condition at the correct marks.

Benefits

The Allison is sensitive to fluid level, so reading it on the correct factory dipstick matters. Overfilling or underfilling can cause shifting problems and fluid foaming. A bent, broken or missing dipstick also lets dirt into the fill tube. Replace if worn or damaged. Fitment

Fits 2001-2007 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500 with the LB7, LLY or LBZ Duramax and Allison 1000 transmission, through the 2007 Classic body. On 2007.5-2010 LMM trucks, it can be used only with an aftermarket left-hand dipstick tube.
