Allison Output Bearing Snap Ring, 4WD, Duramax | 2001 - 2019

The genuine Allison 29536981 snap ring is the outer retaining ring for the output shaft bearing in the 4WD rear adapter housing of the Allison 1000 transmission. It locks the bearing in the housing and keeps the output shaft and bearing from walking under load. It fits 2001-2019 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500 4WD trucks with the 6.6L Duramax diesel, including the 2007 Classic models. A snap ring that has been removed can lose tension or distort, so it is good practice to replace it whenever the adapter housing or the output bearing is serviced.

Fitment

Fits 2001-2019 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500 4WD, including the 2007 Classic, with the 6.6L Duramax diesel and the Allison 1000 transmission: LB7, LLY, LBZ, LMM, LML and L5P. It does not fit 2WD trucks or 2020+ trucks.
