GM Intake Air Heater Gasket, Duramax LML | 2011 - 2016

The genuine GM 12638428 intake air heater gasket seals the intake air heater (grid heater) to the intake on 2011-2016 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD trucks with the 6.6L LML Duramax. The air heater warms incoming air for cold starts, and this gasket keeps boost pressure sealed at the heater joint. It is made from fluoroelastomer, which holds up to heat, oil vapor and boost. A leaking gasket here can cause a boost leak, low power, a whistle under load and unmetered air getting past the system. Always install a new gasket any time the air heater or throttle valve is removed.
