This is the engine oil dipstick tube for 2006 and early 2007 (Classic body) Silverado and Sierra trucks with the 6.6L Duramax, GM part number 97374364. It fits early-production 2006 LLY trucks as well as LBZ trucks. GM's catalog calls it the oil level indicator tube assembly. The tube guides the dipstick into the oil pan so oil level readings are accurate, and it seals the dipstick opening against oil loss and contamination.
