Engine Oil Cooler Outlet Gasket, Duramax | 2001 - 2026

This engine oil cooler outlet gasket, GM part number 12640849, seals the oil outlet joint between the engine oil cooler and the oil filter adapter on the 6.6L Duramax diesel. It fits every truck generation from the 2001 LB7 through the current L5P in Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD, plus 2006-2016 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana vans. Hot oil leaves the cooler through this joint under full oil pressure. A hardened or crushed gasket lets oil seep out, and over time that can lead to low oil and a messy engine valley. Always use a new gasket any time the oil cooler is removed.
