9.25" Front Carrier Bearings and Races, Duramax | 2001-2010

This kit has both front differential carrier bearings and races for the 9.25" IFS front axle on 2001-2010 Duramax 4WD trucks. It includes 2 JLM506849A bearings and 2 JLM506811 races, one set for each side of the carrier. Worn carrier bearings cause a growl or whine from the front differential that changes with load, and can let the ring and pinion backlash shift. Replace the bearings and races together as a set.

Do I need special tools?
Yes. Carrier bearings are pressed on and off, and setting carrier preload and backlash takes a dial indicator and the correct shims. We recommend having this done by a shop experienced with differential setup.
