OEM factory replacement engine rocker arm adjuster bolt for 2001 to 2016 GM Duramax 6.6L V8 vehicles.The rocker is a pivot arm that is connected to the push-rods which ride on the lobes of the camshaft. In the head of the engine there are intake and exhaust valves for each cylinder. These valves open and close by the rocker arm pressing them up and down to meet an exact required clearance in order for the engine to operate correctly. This bolt will adjust the rocker arm to meet those specifications.NOTE: Duramax engines require .012" clearance for both intake and exhaust valves.
