This is the genuine GM rubber boot kit (GM 12471527) that covers the slip yoke on the propeller shaft of Duramax-powered Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra HD trucks. The boot seals the sliding spline joint, keeping road dirt and water out and grease in, so the slip yoke can move freely as the suspension travels. The kit comes with three clamps, so the boot can be installed without buying clamps separately.
