GM tailgate cables have not proven to be the most dependable pieces on the truck, in fact, GM did a major recall replacing them due to rusting and breaking. This can be extremely dangerous as typically they broke with weight on them. This makes every day tasks perilous, not to mention the potential damage done to the tailgate.

Install these Stainless Steel Straps in place of the weak cables and worry no more. Straps come with a life time warranty for your protection.

We must caution that these straps are much stronger then the points that attach them to the truck or tailgate, so please don't grossly overload the tailgate.

I initially bought these straps and had major problems, including denting my tailgate when one side failed. However, a genius forklift operator set a skid of wall stones down with almost all the weight on my tailgate, and these straps saved the day! I contacted MA and they took my evaluations/suggestions seriously and redesigned the pivot area of the straps, and sent me the prototype to test - it is PERFECT now, and can't get caught like the prior design. It's been a few months since I put on the prototype, and I HIGHLY recommend these, and MA !!!!

Super nice fit, quick installation, quick shipping. Need some slight deburing but not bad, could easly be buffed to a great shine. Highly recommended. Bit pricey but worth it. Now when my Rhino rests on the tailgate I will not worry about the cables!!!
